Crew & Services

AnnA Boat Charters only operates skippered charters. Whether you have sailing experience or not, with a professional captain on board, guests can fully relax and immerse themselves in the beauty of the Greek waters.

Additionally an optional crew member can be included when making the booking. This crew member will act as Hostess and Deckhand

The Skipper or Captain on a skippered charter plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and stress-free sailing experience. Responsible for navigating the yacht and managing all aspects of sailing, the Skipper leverages his extensive knowledge of local waters, weather conditions, and maritime regulations to chart the best routes and itineraries. He handles the technical operations of the vessel, including docking and anchoring, while prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers. Additionally, the captain serves as a local guide, sharing insights about the destinations, recommending activities, and ensuring that the journey aligns with the guests’ preferences.

The skipper’s level of engagement is entirely up to you and your group. Some guests prefer a more private experience, with the skipper primarily focusing on the sailing and boat management, staying in the background. Others enjoy a more interactive approach, involving him in conversations, asking questions about sailing, or even inviting them to join meals and social activities. The skipper will always respect your preferences and adapt to the dynamic of the group, ensuring that you have the type of experience you’re most comfortable with.

The same is true if the hostess/deckhand is included as an option. The skipper and hostess are 1 team.

The optional hostess/deckhand on a charter is a versatile crew member who enhances the overall sailing experience by fulfilling both hospitality and operational roles. As a hostess, she ensures the comfort of all guests by preparing meals and snacks. She creates a welcoming atmosphere on board, making sure the yacht is well-stocked and organized. In her deckhand role, she assists the Captain with sailing duties such as handling lines, fenders, and sails, as well as helping with docking and anchoring procedures. This dual role is integral to providing a seamless and enjoyable journey, allowing guests to relax and fully enjoy their time on the water.

Absolutely. We can customize your itinerary based on your preferences and interests. Our experienced team can also recommend popular destinations and hidden gems.

On a crewed charter, where the optional hostess/deckhand is included in the booking, breakfast, a light lunch, and snacks will be provided based on your dietary preferences. Please note that the cost of these meals, groceries, and other provisions is not included in the booking fee.

Dinner will typically be had ashore in one of many restaurants available. Also here the Captain and/or Hostess can help with suggestions and reservations.

When you have a skipper on board, you are responsible for providing their meals throughout the charter. This means that when you do the grocery shopping, you should include enough provisions to cover the skipper’s needs as well. Typically, breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be enjoyed on board, while dinner is usually eaten ashore in a restaurant.

In the evenings, it is up to your group to decide how to include the skipper. You may invite them to dine with you at the restaurant, provide them with food to have dinner on board, or offer a daily allowance (guidance is €25 per person) for them to have dinner ashore independently. The level of involvement is entirely your choice, depending on what works best for your group.
